Here’s the Doctor Who t-shirt I made for myself.
Woo hoo! Finally, something for me.
I’m not a big fan of planning (I’ve never been one to read instructions), so everything’s pretty freehand. My tools consisted of a new pack of Sharpees and a ruler. It only took me probably 15 minutes. Most of that was spent studying typeface so I didn’t screw it up too badly.
My kids gave me this idea. They declared that they were cheerleaders for a team called the TARDIS and they’d randomly burst out into cheers spelling out TARDIS (usually incorrectly). I’ve wanted to make a sports uniform type shirt for them with TARDIS as the name. I found this in my size and shook the idea up a bit.
I got the shirt for $1.99 at the thrift store. The pack of Sharpees were free with rebate (I just paid tax). So the whole thing cost just over $2.
I’m gonna rock on with my Doctor Who-crafting-money-saving-self.
